The need for shelter is universal
These 65 signs painted by Kristen Throop show dignity in small dwellings: an astronaut travels from the moon, Annie Taylor goes over Niagara Falls in a barrel, Patti Smith sleeps under the statue of Alice in Wonderland.
The signs were painted for people without homes who were moving into cabins at Los Guilicos Village in Santa Rosa. Each resident chose one of these images for the door of their new home.
Signs for Los Guilicos Village were made possible by Creative Sonoma and the County of Sonoma.

The original, framed watercolors are $500. Posters which show the entire series are $30 plus tax and measure 24" x 36". Commissions are also available, email inquiries@kristenthroop.com for information.
Los Guilicos Village
Los Guilicos Village is providing shelter for approximately 60 people who had been living in tents on the Joe Rodota Trail in Santa Rosa, California.
