In 2017 I ran "the Seminar," a moderated discussion group for people interested in expanding their understanding of contemporary art. Through reading and conversation, we explored the big questions of contemporary art and what it means to be an artist today. During the six month seminar session we focused on: the larger art world, internal questions that artists struggle with, discipline, the practice of making art, etiquette and meaning.
All prospective members were interviewed.
Meetings were held the second Sunday of each month at 2 pm.
$150 included cost of seminar and all six books.
First session is now over.
There will likely be another group in the future. If you are interested in being part of a discussion group for artists, please send me an email.
This group is for you if:

-
Reading a book a month seems reasonable
